Our Cub Pack

Waverley Cub Pack is open to boys and girls aged between 8yrs and 10┬Żyrs.

We meet on Tuesdays during term-time at Kenilworth Methodist Church.

Meetings start at 6.45pm and finish at 8.15pm.

Cubs should attend in full uniform (see below) unless otherwise mentioned.

Leaders will be around in the main foyer of the church from 6.30pm, and again from 8.15pm, to ensure Cubs are dropped-off and collected safely.

Our Programme

At Waverley Cubs we aim to provide a varied programme of activities that are enjoyable for all cubs.

Our goal is to put the "out" back into Scouting, which means we try to get into the great outdoors as often as possible.

The occasional rain shower, snow flurry, or light gale is all part of the fun... so don't be suprised to find us out-and-about even when the weather's wet and windy.

We are realistic though... there's no fun in being really cold and wet and miserable, so if the weather is very bad we tend to meet at the Church where it's warm and dry.

Throughout the year Cubs will work towards a number of different achievement badges and awards.

Usually these will be completed during the Tuesday evening sessions, although sometimes there may be extra tasks to complete at home.

Cubs can also work towards many activity badges at home - this is a great way for parents/carers to get involved in Scouting as well!

The Scoutbase site has loads of information about the all the various badges available to Cubs.

It also has a handy guide showing where the different badges should be placed on the uniform.


The Cub uniform consists of:
- Cub Jumper
- Trousers (dark blue or black)
- Shoes (no trainers please!)
- Necker
- Cub cap (optional)

Cubs should also bring with them:
- a pencil and paper
- 20p coin
- a short prayer for the end of the evening
